This Is Who They Are
Don't ever, ever, EVER let anyone tell you that anyone in the national Democratic party is serious about national security.Harry Reid (D-Loser): "I believe ... that this war is lost, and this surge is not accomplishing anything, as is shown by the extreme violence in Iraq this week," Reid told journalists.
Never mind that only 60% of the surging forces have even deployed yet. Never mind the facts on the ground. Never mind what the soldiers are seeing and saying. Never mind what will happen if we leave too early. Harry Reid and his party of treasonous quitters are determined to abandon the Iraqis to chaos and slaughter as the Democrats abandoned the South Vietnamese. Harry Reid and his party of treasonous quitters are determined to show the world that Osama bin Laden was right, that we would quit in the face of adversity. Harry Reid and his party of treasonous quitters are determined to make sure that the American blood spilled will be for nothing.
Why?
BECAUSE OF WHAT'S ON THE TELEVISION NEWS?
It's not that he doesn't have access to the milbogs, or the reports from the commanders in the field. It's not like he doesn't know the calamity that will follow on the heels running from the wolves.
So why is he doing it? He hates a Bush success so much - is this Beltway immaturity at the expense of human life? He's afraid of what his deranged base will say - is he that unable to lead? Or is he stuck in Viet Nam, like the American Drive-by liberal media? I don't know his motives and I don't care to start finding excuses. I care about the horrid results. Our enemies see who is saying this. You know, stupidity that gets people killed is reckless endangerment. Once it becomes gross negligence, then it shows a depraved indifference to human life, and rises to Voluntary Manslaughter in most states. And it's the gross negligence that makes the criminal guilty, not the skewed motivation.
YES, I UNDERSTAND THE ANALOGY I JUST MADE. NO, I DON'T THINK IT'S HYPERBOLE.
Let me be clear, in case somehow the reader doesn't get the message. Harry Reid - and any Democrat that does not distance himself from the words of their land-swindling Senate leader - are no longer merely people with bad judgement. They are dangerous. They threaten America with their cowardice. Do you get that, Harry? Your cowardice, your inability to believe in your country's victory, is dangerous to me, my family, and everyone I care about.
I am tired of the Democrats resting their political fortunes on the defeat of our troops. That's like raising against a royal flush. And they know that, because they're trying to take cards out of the deck and replace them with spinach subsidies!
I used to only question the patriotism of hard-core leftists like Jack Benedict Absacam Murtha. I used to believe that disgruntled, bitter shriekers like Michael Savage had to be wrong, there was no way that a majority of the national Demcorats in Washington, D.C. could possibly hate this country.
Well, I don't know if they all hate, but they all disdain. They all sneer. And they refuse to do what it takes to protect it.
No wonder he bragged that he killed the Patriot Act. I wonder if he ever read it. I wonder if the moonbats who gibber about it like Renfield pouncing on insects ever even thought of reading it.
Harry Reid isn't some displaced midget commie loon from a dark blue Congressional district in Ohio. He's the Senate Majority Leader.
He's a traitor by omission.
Not clear enough for you? HE'S A TRAITOR BY OMISSION. HE DOESN'T WANT TO DEFEND THIS COUNTRY. How's that? Is that clear enough?
Our men and women in uniform want to defend us. They're reupping at an astonishing rate.
But Harry Reid doesn't care about their opinions. Why should he? They aren't the producers of television news or the editors-in-chief of the big newspapers.
America cares about their opinions. America cares about their work. But not Harry Reid. Not the national Democrats in Washington, D.C.
For the good of the country Harry Reid should resign. Leper-like he ought to wander from military base to military base, apologizing.
Don't hold your breath for it, though.
