Steve Centani and Olaf Wiig Freed!

I love waking up at 4:30am, seeing a FOXNews Alert and it actually being a real alert (they have an "alert" every 10 minutes or so on FNC).

They were freed this morning and FOXNews is showing footage of the meeting they had with the Prime Minister/Terrorist of the Palestinian territories. We should thank them for facilitating the reporters' release, but they are still terrorists and are still holding an Israeli soldier. Let's continue to pray for him.

Also, the terrorist kidnappers made Centani and Wiig convert to Islam (at the end of a barrel of a gun no doubt) on camera.

Does Anyone Care?

Does anyone care that there is no news on the captured Israeli soldiers in Lebanon and Gaza?

Israel's Next Steps

Israel and President Olmert are receiving harsh and quite visible critiques from the Right.

I believe this is hypocritical - as we understand that constant bickering by the Dems emboldens the enemy in Iraq, the same could be said about the bickering about Israel.

What should Israel do now? I think it needs to reassert its war goals: Disarm and irradicate Hezbollah from Lebanon.

The cease fire was contingent on disarming Hezbollah and the Lebanese government already indicated it cannot do so. I would tell the UN that the security force it wants to use must arrive in 2 weeks and its mission must be to disarm the terrorists.

Anything less than that would cause a resumption of hostilities and Israel should simply go all out and literally drive Hezbollah (and their supporters) into Syria.

Lebonese Parliament to its Civilians: Drop Dead

The Lebonese parliamentary speaker (Hezbo supporter) rejects the UN security councils cease fire agreement.

Too bad, so sad. I guess Israel will get the time it needs to kill more terrorists.

The Lebanese parliamentary speaker, a prominent Shiite who has been negotiating on behalf of Hezbollah, rejected the U.S.-French draft of U.N. cease-fire resolution on Sunday because it did not include the government's plan for ending the fighting.

Nabih Berri said Lebanon would not accept any terms that did not include a government plan calling for an immediate cease-fire and withdrawal of Israeli troops.

"Lebanon, all of Lebanon, rejects any talks and or any draft resolution that does not include the seven-point government framework," Berri said at a news conference in Beirut.

I love demands of people without armies to enforce the peace demanding "seven-point" plans and such of people who will have to put their countrymen's lives on the line.

So much for "French Diplomacy." What this shows is that Hezbollah is not beaten and they will only support peace once their war fighting capabilities are destroyed.

Syria is also asking for trouble.

One thing that disgusts me with the Democratic position is this new mantra of "how long" other wars took compared to Iraq. Kennedy droned on and on about how the Iraq war is taking as long as WWII.

The refusal to recognize the different type of war fighting we do now compared to back then is breathtaking.

We won WWII after leveling entire cities (women and children included), we firebombed Tokyo with gasoline bombs killing tens of thousands, we nuked Japan twice. How long would WWII have taken if we did not target women and children? Vietnam could have been one in a year if we leveled the north.

If you cannot stomach wholesale death of people in the countries we attack, then you must be more patient and accept this will take more time and more American soldiers' lives.

That is the price that must be paid for the high horse on which Democrats want to stand.

Jews Take Note

You're in the wrong party:

A plurality of 46% say protecting Israel's right to exist is more important than securing an immediate ceasefire. Again, men (55%) and Republicans (62%) are more likely than women (37%) and Democrats (36%) to say protecting Israel should be the priority.

These numbers should be very disturbing to Jews who vote Democrat.

Israel Poised to Invade Gaza

Fox News is reporting that missiles have taken out the only power station in Gaza and that 3000 troops are on the border ready to invade.

I hope Bush is watching closely on how it should be done.

Please Pray for Sharon

He has been a force for peace by both engaging the Palestinians diplomatically, disengaging in Palestinian territories and defeating the intifada.

Although it looks like he will no be able to be Prime Minister again, please pray for his heath and for his recovery.
