Lazy media at it again:
Much of the press (ABC, CBS, CNN) were stating yesterday that a "central argument" made by the White House for removing Saddam Hussein from power was the alliance or links between Iraq and al-Qaeda.
Granted, the White House has made the claim that al-Qaeda and Iraq has some sort of "relationship."
But was it a "central argument" for the war?
Remember the Iraq war resolution that Congress voted on? A resolution that the press, in reporting on this story, didn't mention?

Nowhere in the resolution does it say that one of the reasons, much less a central or key reason, for liberating Iraq was the cooperation between Iraq and al-Qaeda. The only reference to al-Qaeda in the resolution reads:
Whereas members of al-Qaida, an organization bearing responsibility for attacks on the United States, its citizens, and interests, including the attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, are known to be in Iraq;
So, the actual law authorizing force never states that al-Qaeda and Iraq were allied.
Curious omission by the members of the Fourth Estate.

Really? Like say, cutting taxes to get the economy moving? Outspending the Soviets to put them in the ash heap of history? Prosecuting small crimes to stop big ones (a.k.a. the broken windows effect) which every single liberal and liberal media outlet in the early 90s said wouldn't work, and viciously castigated Rudy for doing so? Taking the fight to the terrorists to rpevent another attack on our soil? Or is all this too recent for you? Want to go back to, oh I don't know, fighting the Civil War to end slavery?
Not one decent event can be attributed to people of 'our ilk,' hm?
Hey Jersey, they make a thing called a library, and in this thing called a library they have a section called "history." I recommend that you read it. Then read what your wide of things brought the country: a stagnant economy, glorification of the drug culture, rising crime, rising illiteracy, rising out-of-wedlock births, and a weakened defense.
Democrats will lose in '06 and '06 AGAIN.
