Go Joe!
LLP would like to whole heartedly endorse Senator Joe Lieberman for re-election in Connecticut.
I hate the phrase "Joementum" but he certainly will need some of it to pull off a victory today.
If he loses, he must remain steadfast and run as an independent and the Republicans in that state should support him. Principle over party!

A Maryland Republican endorsing a CT Democrat. That should really help him in the Democratic Primary. Maybe old Joe can get George W. Bush to endorse him and just completely put the seal on the election results.

To hell with loyal Repubicans who've played by the rules to advance in their party! Support the Democrat!
What this has to do with principle is beyond me, seeing as any Republican candidate would be more in line with your views than Liberman.

What PRINCIPLE has to do with it is the nature and vicious quality that characterizes the campaign against a very decent human being who has also been an effective Senator representing the State of Connecticut. He is being attacked in the most despicable fashion by OUT OF STATE interests who have decided to destroy him because they don't like his support of the Iraq War.
George Stephanopoulos called Lieberman's opponent, Ned Lamont, a liar to his face this past Sunday when Lamont claimed no knowledge of what is being done on the looney left blogs and he used Lamont's own words to do it.
When George is the voice of reason in the Democratic Party - that party is in serious trouble!

Any party that allows Karl Rove to participate in the electoral process in any way doesn't have the moral standing to talk about principles and vicious campaigns. Here in Alabama, Mr. Rove came in from OUT OF STATE, and started a whisper campaign against Supreme Court Justice Mark Kennedy which claimed that this justice with a strong track record of advocating for abused children was a homosexual pedophile and was stealing money from from a children's foundation he was involved with.
Lieberman is in trouble in his own party not for standing on principles but for standing with the unprincipled.

It isn't Rove's job to be principled. Politics is messy. Grow up, both of you.
