A challange to you Aaron. Quote or link to a story that shows clearly that Gary Hart's use of the word CASUALTIES in November of 2002 referred only to number KILLED. I don't think you can do it (at least not from a legitimate news source) because he never confused the meaning of the word excpet in your own mind.

The irony of your baseless and unsupported assertion about what Gary Hart meant in 2002 by the word CASUALTIES is that Hart has been beating the drum througout the conflict that we should be paying attention to total casualties NOT JUST THE NUMBER KILLED.

Killed and Wounded? I thought you said that Mr. Hart only meant "killed" when he said there would be 5,000 to 10,000 casualties?

Many of the articles that were contempory to Hart's prediction ridiculed him about the number being impossibly high, but I found not one that suggested that he didn't understand the meaning of the word CASUALTIES. Perhaps you would be good enough to quote the source of your improbable understanding of his meaning?

When the number of our American Heroes killed didn't quite add up to his desired total he gave himself the option to cry about the number killed or wounded. Just like a democrat fraud.
