Novak Confirms His Primary Source
And it ain't a Bush administration official (to the disappointment of many, I am sure).
Drudge Flash:
BOB NOVAK, My Leak Case Testimony: 'I learned Valerie Plame's name from Joe Wilson's entry in 'Who's Who in America'... MORE Published reports that I took the Fifth Amendment, made a plea bargain with the prosecutors or was a prosecutorial target were all untrue... MORE... My primary source has not come forward to identify himself... Bill Harlow, the CIA public information officer who was my CIA source for the column confirming Mrs. Wilson's identity. I learned Valerie Plame's name from Joe Wilson's entry in 'Who's Who in America'... I answered questions using the names of Rove, Harlow and my primary source... I considered his wife's role in initiating Wilson's mission, later confirmed by the Senate Intelligence Committee, to be a previously undisclosed part of an important news story. I reported it on that basis.
So, three lies are all busted. I cannot wait until tomorrow night.
Also, we should conduct a suicide watch at the Huffington Post, "Truth" Out and Daily Kos...

CNN: "(The CIA's) Harlow was not available for public comment on Novak's latest account. But a former intelligence official said Harlow did not know what Plame's position at the CIA was at first (when he spoke to Novak) and that he tried to talk Novak out of publishing her name when he did find out, making it clear the disclosure could be damaging to national security."
I guess to avoid sounding like a bunch of partisan hypocrites, that certain conservatives will have to boycott news media that Novak contributes to since he knowingly damaged national security for a news story. What irony that one of the conservative darlings published a story he was asked not to publish by the intelligence community.

I think we can see that the two people who lied and damaged national security were Joseph Wilson and Valerie Plame.
And this also demonstrates that the White House was not on a campaign to "leak" this woman's name, but simply confirmed what Novak discovered off the internet from Wilson's bio on who's who.

I'm a little curious how you figure Wilson "damaged national security". What he did was expose a lie that was being pushed, knowingly, by the entire Bush crime organization.
The lie, and the 3 year $200b war that it was used to get us into, have damaged national security more than can ever be measured.
And would you be kind enough to make a coherent case for the "three lies" you think Novak exposed. I read that whole article and other than the assertion that already Fitzgerald knew who both sources were I didn't see anything new in it.
But then, for you "proof" is whatever your repugnican masters say it is and "national security" is whatever lies can be told to keep them in power. Why do you hate this country so much?

"What [Wilson] did was expose a lie..."
What lie was that? Bush claimed that Saddam Hussein sought uranium in Africa. Joe Wilson confirmed that Saddam Hussein sought uranium in Africa. What "lie" are you talking about?
