Paris Hilton doesn't have a chauffeur?
Now for something completely different.
Here is the beginning of an AP story reported by TownHall.Com on Friday, June 9th.:
(AP) Hilton Backs SUV Into Car After Shopping
Jun 10 2006
LOS ANGELES
Paris Hilton had a fender-bender accident when her Range Rover backed into a car in a parking garage after a shopping trip, her publicist said Friday.
Someone who videotaped the incident is claiming that Paris Hilton committed hit-and-run because she left the scene without placing on the other car information on how to contact her.
Whoever is accusing Paris Hilton of hit-and-run needs to wake up to reality. An ordinary person might have left contact information on the windshield of the other car. However, doing such a thing would have caused additional trouble for Paris, because the paparazzi following her would have copied the information - perhaps also the person who made the videotape. Thus, Paris left contact information with an employee of the parking facility.
I have no particular interest in Paris Hilton, but I have disliked paparazzi ever since the death of Princess Diana, who at the time of her death was trying to escape the paparazzi who were following her. (Yeah, I know that the paparazzi who were following Princess Di didn't cause her death.)
By the way, how is it that a story reported on June 9th is dated June 10th? Does the AP have a reporter who travels through time?
