More Sad Days ahead for Military Haters
8-0 SCOTUS decision: if you have your stinkin' hand out for free federal money, military recruiters must be allowed on campus.
The Supreme Court ruled unanimously Monday that colleges that accept federal money must allow military recruiters on campus, despite university objections to the Pentagon's "don't ask, don't tell" policy on gays.

Universities receive all manner of financial aid from the Federal government in forms of research grants, support for various "social engineering" programs, etc.
In terms of "biting the hand that feeds you", academia is way ahead of the curve!

It ain't the universities that need to change. it's the military. The whole straight/gay non-issue needs to be thrown out. Along with the "sodomy" provisions in the 60 year old UCMJ.
I served for twelve years. Part of it with people that I new to be either Bi or gay. It didn't effect their performance one bit.
Clinton never should have created that wimpy policy in the first place. He should have just done what Truman did on race. Told them to shut up and soldier.
