Are you all just too young to remember the eighties? Or do you really subscribe to the "It's OK As Long As It's A Republican Doing It" theory of government?
This man busted unions, tripled the national debt and conducted a sercet, illegal war that congress had specifically forbidden him to wage. In addition he presided over the largest redistribution of wealth away from the middle class since the 1890s.
When Reagan entered office living wage, blue collar jobs with healthcare and pension plans were the norm. By the time he left, the industrial sector was gutted, the temporary employment and service industries were booming and if you were lucky your employer was matching part of your contributions to your 401k.
The chestnut that somebody is going to post in response to this that Reagan defeated Communism is just so much BS. Reagan's only two legal military operations were a disaster in Beruit and a photo-op in Grenada.
So just what is it you all see in "St. Ronnie?" Am I the only one who posts to this site that works for a living?

I am sorry, even though I was 4 years old, I do remember that he entered office during the American "Malaise." Get a dictionary.
Since Reagan took office, American wealth has grown more than the two hundred years previous.
In the last 120 months since Reagan took office, we've been in recession for less than 10.
Before Reagan: gas lines, hostages, malaise, national apathy.
After Reagans: Communism falls, economic prosperity, military kicks ass, nation feels proud.
Nothing you write will rewrite history, sis. Just simma down and let the nation celebrate this great man AND the hostages that came home today despite Jimma Carter.
