Mere Idiot

Finally, a left-wing loon that admits they hate democracy:

Could somebody please stop the spread of democracy in the Middle East? I do not like the way it's turning out. Iran for example has been having elections for almost thirty years, since the overthrow of the Shah, and look who wins them. Iran's election have produced presidents ranging from moderate right wingers like Abul Hassan Boni Sadr to full-tilt ultra-religious wingnuts like current president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad whose politics appear to only slightly to the left of Pat Robertson.

I guess someone should explain to this fool that under Saddam, there were elections where he received 100% of the vote. Now, without his machine of facist murder, what was the percent the Sunnis got in this last election? 19%.

I guess freedom of will doesn't work because Iraq hasn't changed at all with freedom....

What an ass.

From the Washington Post:
Sunni and secular political parties angrily claimed Tuesday that last week’s Iraqi national election was rigged, demanding a new vote and threatening to leave in shambles the delicate plan to bring Iraq’s wary factions together in a new government.

Faced with preliminary vote counts that suggest a strong victory by the United Iraqi Alliance, a coalition of Shiite religious parties that dominates the outgoing government, political leaders of Iraq’s Sunni Arab minority hinted that insurgent violence would be accelerated by the suspicions of fraud.

From the AP:

With politicians barely containing their hostility toward each other, the bitter climate raised questions about U.S. hopes that the Dec. 15 vote will lead to a more inclusive government involving Sunni Arabs, the minority group that formed the core of Saddam Hussein’s government and is now the backbone of the insurgency.

And from Reuters:

“We demand that this election be annulled,” hardline Sunni leader Saleh al-Mutlak told a news conference, calling on the United Nations, European Union and United States to step in.

He warned of “civil war” if Shi’ite Islamist parties gained a monopoly on power and said he had proof of major ballot rigging; U.N. and U.S. officials have said the voting appeared largely fair despite irregularities affecting all parties.

Gunfire and explosions, apparently involving rebels and U.S. forces, broke out in Ramadi after dark, local residents said.

I suppose dictatorships are more predictable and "efficient".

Bush's America is a great example of that, unfortunately.

You telling me you guys really can't tell when someone's being facetious?

I can say this, I know how to spell facist.

Posted by: Aaron at December 22, 2005 09:11 AM

And yet you don't recognize it when Bush engages in it...

I think that spelling came before modern political theory. One I took in elementary school--the other in college...

I love how your emotion allow you to redefine political terms. Only by pushing goal posts does Bush become a facist.

What was it that Clinton did in Waco? Attacking and burning to death a religious sect? When did Bush ever do that? Ruby Ridge? Elian Gonzales? What are you examples of facism other than the fact that someone you hate is the cic?
