Stressful Day in New York

It's been a nerve-wracking day here at the office. My building is smack dab on top of Penn Station, and the tension has been high for most of the day with the closing down of part of Penn Station as experts checked out a suspicious substance. It was found to be benign.

I was just downstairs. The closed portion is now open (except the 8th Avenue entrance is still gated off), and activity seems to be back to normal, except for even more security announcements over the PA system and cops milling about.

Please keep the folks here in NYC in your thoughts. If I was a coffee drinker, I would have downed a pot easily today.

Here's to hope; as in, hoping absolutely nothing happens...

I hope things calm down for all of NY, without incident!

I know how you feel, Pam. After the london bombings I was petrified to get on the metro for like a week.

I hope this passes without incident as well.
