That's just sad.

The sign looks Photoshopped...but the woman might be real (except for what's hanging below the hemline). It's hard to tell.

Regardless of the veracity of the photo, how does this type of post truly impact the debate?
There are all kinds of valid things to say and do regarding who's got the better argument, but abject ridicule of a person's appearance, while fun, really does absolutely no good in a political climate.
Mind you, I'd find it distinctly funny as evidence of why Wal-Mart is evil (if it were of a person coming out of/going into wal-mart, and the caption were something along the lines of 'the true evil of wal-mart - acceptable obesity), I'd be right there with you!).
Meanwhile, I keep hearing (and reading) on conservative websites and radio how mean-spirited democrats are (remember - I don't align myself with anyone), then out of the same mouths hear send-ups of Ted Kennedy's appearance and dialect, of Hillary Clinton and her appearance, etc...
Personal attacks on personal appearance in the political spectrum weaken the messenger, not the object of the article.

Pam, I think you're correct about the sign. PLUS, I think "CODE PINK was added, too. The rest, unfortunately, looks real.

Again, TJ, this is not about debate. This was a caption contest--pure humor.

I know, Aaron, I know...I'm not necessarily detracting from you specifically, I just wonder about the motivations of the 'serious' journalists who propagate such stuff (not this picture in-and-of-itself, but like-minded stuff)...
I wasn't necessarily judging your use of it.

I don't know if you can have a caption contest where the entire contest is taken by people arguing whether captioning is appropriate. So I'll start, and y'all can blame me:
The word is 'panniculus'.
Can you use it in a sentence?
Sure. "The protester's prominent panniculus could be clearly seen below the hem of her dress."
Panniculus. P a n n i c u l u s. Panniculus.
Re: the photoshop thing? I don't think so. Maybe the pink sign, but the rest is real, including the "panniculus."

I thought Cindy was arrested, not eaten.
