Michael Brown Resigns

I think Bush would give anyone a chance to first resign before he fired him/her.

Link to come soon.

And here it is.

But, you ignore the point that Brown resigning was better for Bush, not Brown.

Brown should have fired Brown rather than have the dog & pony show of Brown returning to Washington with his tail between his legs.

But, as a Bush-appointee, Brown being fired would be Bush acknowledging he made a mistake - which is something this President just won't do...

In fact, speaking of resignations - Rumsfeld stated he handed his to Bush three times, and Bush wouldn't accept it. What's up with that?

I disagree. I think that everyone knows he was damaged for his incompetence. It's the sign of a good manager to offer resignation before termination.

Brown did alright during the 4 FLA hurricanes in 2004. But failed with this. I would do the same.

I think you're upset because Brown resigning affixes blame, whereas, if Bush fired him, everyone could have said he passed the buck.

It's the sign of a good president to fire an incompetent rather than send him home and wait for a resignation.

Bush was passing the buck by waiting for him to resign.
