DEMS VOW TO PICK SCAB LEFT BY PIRRO'S HUBBY
Leading Republicans now regularly claim that Albert Pirro'scriminal tax-evasion conviction and alleged ties to Mafia figures "cancel out" the impeachment and Monica Lewinsky scandals that engulfed former President Bill Clinton.
But several Democrats called the claim "apples and oranges" and insisted that Albert Pirro's background will be fair game in the Senate race. ...Added a prominent Democrat with close ties to Sen. Clinton, "Bill Clinton is the most popular political figure in New York and he can appear as a surrogate for his wife in any part of the state. "Is that true for Al Pirro?"
