GITMO & MEMOS & DURBIN, OH MY!
GITMO IGNORAMUSES STRIKE AGAIN: These critics are apparently unaware that every detainee currently being held at Guantanamo Bayhas received a hearing before a military tribunal. As a result of those hearings, more than three dozen Gitmo detainees will be released.

BATTING A THOUSAND: I contacted the offices of each Senator (2) and Representative (19) in Illinois and asked the following question: Does your office think Senator Durbin should apologize?
Did Lucy Ramirez Find The Downing Street Memos?: [N]o one questioned the authenticity of the documents provided by the Times of London. That has now changed, as Times reporter Michael Smith admitted that the memos he used are not originals, but retyped copies.
Another Fake Memo?: I'm with Pat on this one (Godhelp me). I don't think it's going to be shown to be phony (although Ed raises valid points), and I don't think it matters.
If They Were Fakes, They'd Say More: I very much doubt that the documents are fakes, for two reasons. First, to my knowledge no one in the British government has denied their authenticity. ... [I]f the Downing Street memos were fakes, they would say more.
