Revenge of the Sith

The movie was quite good. After seeing it, I wonder if Lucas would have done better to have done this as the second movie and had the 3rd movie be more about the establishment of the empire and the rise of the rebellion.

It was rather depressing in some parts. The acting wasn't as bad as before--but that ain't saying much.

The transformation from Anakin to Vader was well done. "I HATE YOU!" Darth Vader says to General Obi Wan Kenobi with tears streaming down his face, lying limbless on the edge of a river of fire. That was the best, most emotional part of the movie.

The significance of the prequels is that it will forever change how you view the characters in the first trilogy. Vader's redemption in Return of the Jedi is much more powerful.

I would say this movie is better than the first Star Wars.

Our blogbrother Owen at Boots and Sabers agrees:

Yes, I went and saw it this afternoon. I thought it was fantastic. By far, it’s the best of the prequels and comes close to toppling Empire as my favorite. Yes, it had some plot anomolies and cheesy dialogue, but so does every other Star Wars movie. I especially disliked the Frankenstein scene with Vader at the end. But… I was riveted from start to finish.

I’m still basking in the afterglow. Even mowing the lawn (which I detest) did not make a dent in my delight.

If only I can talk Wendy into letting me go see it again.....

I haven't seen the theatre version yet, but I was able to get a sneak peek at the movie anyway.

The acting is terrible, and the Padme character is completely sold short. Are her acting skills so poor that her character was downplayed, or is Lucas an idiot? Probably both.

It might have been nice to get more of a discussion of the Promised One, or whoever this schmuck was who brought balance to the force.

I saw it in Rome this past weekend and it was phenomenal. I grew up with Star Wars and was eagerly anticipating this one since I was a young lad playing with my SW figures. It didn't disappoint a bit.

Earth to Paul - the Chosen one was Luke Skywalker...

How did Luke bring balance to the force? By destroying Vader he tilted the balance towards good and away from evil.

It was Anakin who balanced the force between good and evil.

Anakin was the chosen dude.

Funny how all the parallels between the 'dark siders' in Star Wars and the lying liars in the Bush administration have apparently gone unnoticed by the right-wing bozos here.

Their hero Bush is a mass murdering war criminal who deserves to be tried at Nuremberg and hung, along with Cheney and Rice and most of the rest of his co-conspirators.

Hopefully before the Loose Cannon Bush starts a nuclear war and kills millions more.

Actually, there are plenty of parallels between the left wing democrats who control congress and the dark siders in star wars too. Look at the immovable bureaucrats in the Galatic Senate, for starters.

For the record, we like to call the right-wingers around here "yahoo's", not "bozos".

Since they're anti-google, or something.

There were extremely excellent and the best scenes in the movie "Revenge of the Sith".
Good originality and great imagination, great story in this movie!
Here's Photo gallery for Hayden Christensen(Anakin) of this movie. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0159789/photogallery-ss-0
