Chris Matthews: Open Mouth, Insert Foot
Hat tip: Michelle Malkin
MSNBC talk show host Chris Matthews obviously doesn't know when to shut his yap. While on Don Imus' radio show yesterday morning, he said the following about Terri Schiavo's father:
The American people believe that there's been a lot of politics in this, and they don't really have confidence in any of the parties here. There's nobody here who looks particularly compelling or attractive. The husband doesn't know how to present himself at all, his brother's okay. The parents... the father seems to be having, I hate to say this, a good time. I don't know why, maybe it's the focus, maybe he's giddy with sadness of the tragedy that has been going on for so long.
Having a good time???
Take a look at the pictures posted on Michelle Malkin's blog and see for yourself what a great time this man is having. And Matthews saying he "hate[s] to say this" is like the abusive parent telling the child that the latest beating is "for your own good."
WTF is wrong with people?

I was literally balling when they did that memorial service yesterday and the father went up to speak and he couldn't even say three words without becoming so choked up.
