How I Found the Great Lebanese Blog

Okay, so I surf over to Wizbang and there have been two excellent posts (semi-humorous, semi-serious) on the different methods of blogging on the left and on the right. The first one was particularly true. The second one dealt with plagiarism and an apparent swipe by Media Matters of a lower-ranked left-wing blog's post (what a shock!). I didn't bother to really research that issue, but that post led me to this post, on a blog that I would characterize as liberal but not nutty liberal. The guy was complaining about the lack of links love from the bigger blogs on his side, and boy, haven't we all felt that at one time or another? But he happened to link at the end to the Politicker, a center-right blog, which echoed somewhat the same thoughts. So I responded with a comment and this post over at Brainsters. Anyway, later I surfed back over to the center-right guy's blog and he'd apparently done the even smarter thing. He found a WAY cool small blog, called Ya Libnan, which appears to be an English-language Lebanese blog. I say appears to be because it's almost too well-written, too immediate, too perfect. No doubt the lefties will be claiming that Karl Rove writes it. But assuming it is true, and despite the caveats above, it seems to be, this guy's going right to the top of the blogosphere in the next week. Remember, you heard about Ya Libnan at Lifelike Pundits first!

And we heard about it at the Politicker. Great job!

You know, I pondered that for a moment, but ended up deciding that its the overall message that was most important. It is a pretty cool blog though.

And thanks for the link.

After reading it some more, I'm pretty convinced it's real. You know how it is, though, it's not hard to fake something on the net. But if it's a fake, it's one that deserves to be read.

Thanks for the kind words on Ya Libnan! Pat is correct, Ya Libnan is very real... so real that it took this long to reply because we've been so busy posting :)

The editors, reporters & photographers are all Lebanese & for the most part situated in Beirut, Lebanon.
