CAGE MATCH
![]() | |
| I'm going to go against every conservative grain in my body and suggest that Republicans not use the "nuclear" option on judicial nominees. | Polipundit's main objection to using the nuclear option is strictly political. He feels that the spectacle of Democrats, especially those in the red states, joining in the filibuster will lead to more Republican Senators. He does have a sound basis for his opinion given that the issue was likely what cost Tom Daschle his Senate seat to John Thune. However, I think the 10 judges are worth going nuclear. |
Want to see a knock down drag out between 2 conservative blogs on the possible use of the "nuclear option", complete with flame wars, ugly smears and the like?Well, you're in the wrong place. But what you will find are 2 conservative sites that are friendly with each other each making intelligent points to debate an issue on which they profoundly disagree, but without the vitriolic name calling and the like. The lefty blogs can't do this because they lack the prerequisite for such a debate - an idea.
The "cage match" here is between Polipundit, (who is against the use of the "nuclear option") and Bulldog Pundit of (who is in favor).
