Brilliant Michael Moore “Documentary”

Ace points us to Moore's latest "documentary" "Fahrenheit 1861."

THIS IS A MUST SEE "DOCUMENTARY" FILMED IN THE MICHAEL MOORE FASHION OF "TRUTH TELLING" AND "RECORD STRAIGHTENING."

Yep, THAT Culture of Corruption

I stated in earlier comments that people who break the law should pay the price. What I want to demonstrate is that the Democrats have absolutely ZERO ethical credibility.

Did you think that Abramoff was simply a Republican scandal? You probably did if you listen to the Dems, Libs and the MSM. Here is a nifty graphic that shows that Dems are just as dirty.

Again, Republicans involved with any unethical or illegal behavior should be sent up the river--but this "culture of corruption" yarn from the Democrats is simply hysterical.

Anytime a Republican's name is mentioned in connection to embattled lobbyist Jack Abramoff it becomes a story for the liberal media, and fodder for Democrats' smear campaign against the Republican Party. The truth of the matter is that even members of the Democratic Party have connections to Jack Abramoff...

Who are these Democrats? Click the image below to see a graphic, titled A Web Of Hypocrisy II: Abramoff Edition which gives you just a small snapshot of the Democrats' hypocrisy when it comes to their attacks on Tom DeLay and Republicans for having connections to Jack Abramoff...

Dem Dupes

Patrick Kennedy, the lone Rhode Island Congresscritter to vote in favor of the Iraq War:

"I don't know how anyone in their right mind, knowing what we know now -- the lack of weapons of mass destruction, the lack of adequate plans to conduct the war and manage the country after the cessation of major hostilities -- I don't know how anyone can look back, knowing what we know now, and can honestly say that they'd still support the war."

The "we were duped" meme seems to be spreading. What they really want to say is that they were duped by calculating that supporting the war would be better for their political future than opposing it. Now that the Democrats sense that they might be in trouble with their activist, idiot, base, they are rushing to the lifeboats.

Kerry needs to Consult Pelosi

Kerry, in response to Bush's great speech today, said that the Democrats have never called for a timetable for withdrawal (lie), but instead wanted to suggest a timetable for success (lie).

As he is delivering yet another campaign 2004 speech filled with lies, San Fran Nan demonstrates how bad he is lying over in the House:

House of Representatives Minority leader Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday backed a call by Democratic Rep. John Murtha to quickly start the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.

"I will be supporting the Murtha resolution," Pelosi said of Murtha's resolution calling for withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq at the earliest practicable date.

I love it. Where is this Democratic Timetable for Success Kerry mentioned? It isn't in the Murtha bill to get the troops out at the earliest practicable date. No where in this legislation will you find success/victory being a condition for withdrawl. Pelosi is the leader of the Democrats in the House. She speaks for the party by supporting this bill.

It's fun to see Kerry out ruining the English language with his contortions and "nuance" trying to bob and weave the Dems out of looking like cowards.

More on “Culture of Corruption”

I found this list online after docdave mentioned its existence in the comments. The author's writing style is a bit conspiracy theory nutty and I don't believe half of it--but this list is quite long and an interesting read if you like conspiracy theories. Our leftist readers would certainly love it but there's no mention of Halliburton.

JUST REG’LER FOLKS

Cindy Adams reports that CLINTONS BUY LINENS LIKE THE REST OF US:
THREE separate reports on the Clintons spending quality time together relaxing, shopping, getting the Chappaqua house ready for Saint Nick or whatever other saints could be Democrats. They hit Bloomingdale's in White Plains. Chatted with sales help. He was in luggage, she in the china department. They bought Waterford Crystal, then did the store's lower level for linens. (Waterford isn't usually found in the basement, if you take my meaning.) Like any normal everyday couple, she rumbled: "Come over here," and he said, "OK," and went over. Arms full, they then climbed into their van with the Secret Service protecting the new, on-sale pillowcases. Thanksgiving Eve they got in touch with their down-home roots. The Mt. Kisco moviehouse for "Walk the Line." And that's all I know.

GOOD NEWS IN BOSNIA

BILL'S WAR, & W'S
Bosnia's three key ethnic/political groups (Muslims, Serbs and Croats) have all agreed to unify their nation and end the tripartite government bequeathed them by the Dayton peace accords negotiated in 1995 after a heavy round of American bombing. ... President Bill Clinton was right to invest in "nation-building" after U.S. military action in Bosnia and 2000 presidential candidate George W. Bush was wrong to criticize him for it. And now President Bush is right to push nation-building in Iraq, while ex-President Clinton is wrong to criticize the military action as a "huge mistake."

Was someone at the AP having a bit of fun with Bill's pants? Here's the original link (just so's y'know I wasn't Photoshopping):
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton waves as he arrives in Kinniya, about 240 kilometers (150 miles) northeast of Colombo, Sri Lanka, Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005. Clinton visited Sri Lanka's tsunami-battered northeast Tuesday, praising reconstruction efforts after last year's killer waves and urging the government to seek peace with Tamil Tiger rebels. More Moveon.org Treachery

What happens when you cannot face reality? Make shit up!

GOP & the City along with his eagle eyed brother GOP and College demonstrate the Moveon.org photoshopped a group of British soldiers to make them look like American soldiers.

When, precisely, are we allowed to question these people's patriotism? Oh wait, I forgot that lying and demoralizing the troops is the ultimate form of patriotism! Ted Rall Patriotism!

More from H-Bomb at ABP.

Also, Ace finally nails the liberals:

The Democratic Party: Our national security policy is taking the old "wait and see" attitude. After all, what's the worse that could happen?

Remember, Its the Worst Economy since the Depression

Hooverville:

The economy grew at a lively 4.3 percent pace in the third quarter, the best showing in more than a year. The performance offered fresh testimony that the country's overall economic health managed to improve despite the destructive force of Gulf Coast hurricanes.

Somewhere over the rainbow . . .

Here is a portion of a huge rainbow that appeared last Saturday near the Dodo's house.

The sight of a huge, beautiful rainbow is something that you can enjoy no matter what your political beliefs are.

Please Explain the Difference

This story is sick:

ST. CLOUD, Fla. -- An anonymous tip led animal control officers to a shocking case of animal cruelty. A puppy was found buried alive in a yard near New York Avenue and 192 in St. Cloud. Osceola County Animal Control said they had never seen anything like this.

...

A piece of wooden fence was placed on top of the puppy and he was placed in a hole with the wood weighing down on him. Animal Control believes the dog was buried like that for a day. There was only enough room for him to breathe, but not move.

[Shawn] Longfellow is charged with animal cruelty, a third-degree felony, and he was cited with a $500 fine. Now Animal Control has to petition for custody of the dog before he's available for adoption. That could take several months.

Somehow I don't think Animal Control will have much trouble winning its petition. This is the way it should be.

Now, why is it that children who are known to have been brutally mistreated by their parents are sometimes returned to them, as in this story from last week:

A Far Rockaway father who fought successfully to gain custody of his 7-year-old daughter has now been accused of beating her to death, in a case that raises new questions about the city agency charged with protecting children under its care.

The father, Russell Roberts, is accused in the Oct. 25 death of Sierra Helena Roberts, which was classified a homicide on Tuesday by the medical examiner. An autopsy concluded the 50-pound child had died of blunt trauma to the torso, and had an injury so severe that her small intestine was lacerated.

If a parent has been known to beat his/her child, I cannot for the life of me understand why that parent would be allowed to have the child back. We take abused animals away for good. Why not abused children?

UPDATE: Thinking more about this post after having written it, I realize that child was taken away because she tested for cocaine after birth, not because of being beaten, so perhaps it wasn't the best example to use. (Being born with drugs in the system is abuse, though. Red flag alert!) However, we know there are cases where a child is beaten and is given back to the birth parents and ends up dead, so I still have the same question.

UPDATE II (8:53 p.m.):
