Letter to T-Mobile

It has come to my attention that t-mobile advertises its products and services in the New York Times.

Because of the Times decision to publish national security secrets on its front page that endanger the lives of American citizens, I ask that t-mobile refuse any future advertising in the newspaper.

I would like a prompt response to this as it will determine whether I continue to be a customer of t-mobile (I have been with t-mobile/voicestream for over 5 years).

If you choose to continue to advertise in the Times, I will also ask that members of my family (four) and many friends who also have t-mobile accounts to discontinue service with you.

I also believe that there will be a national boycott of any sponsors of the paper, so you should understand that I am not alone in my opinion of the Times.

I look forward to your response.

You should have left T-Mobile long ago just for being a foreign company.

A German one at that. Your monthly fee for service supports Germany. A country that stabbed us in the back in Iraq. Our Treasury gets short changed on taxes from this company as well, while American wireless providers pay their fair share. T-Mobile is also non-union and pays the worst wages in the industry. Lower that the union wages it pays its workers in parent company Deutsche Telekom.

You should cancel your service and stop with the silly letter campaign. I understand you are doing the letter thing as an act of patriotism, but it's unpatriotic to support this foreign company in the first place.

Cingular, Alltel, Sprint PCS are American.

Verizon Wireless is foreign (50% owned by the Brits - Vodafone).

I've stuck with Voicestream/T-Mobile because it was the only cell phone service that worked during 9/11.

Everyone at work had to use my phone. That's worth something to me.

I like what works; I am not beholden to buying American if there is a better product.

That said, I will certainly consider your suggestions as alternatives.

I forgot to mention that T-Mobile is also partially owned by the German government. I've always wondered who they greased to be able to buy Voice Stream. There's a law against foreign governments having ownership of our telcos.

I can understand not buying crap just because it has a made in America label on it. But, 99.9% of the time American products and companies are superior to foreign ones.

On the technology side of things, CDMA service is far superior to your T-Mobile GSM service in such things as coverage, drop calls, in building connections, and data speeds.
